First Birthday in Japan

October 12. Quite a great day if I do say so myself. This year I am celebrating for the first time on foreign soil but nevertheless parties will happen. This time my office were the ones who organized the party in their typical party planning fashion: renting out a room and setting up a long table with food, beer and sake from end to end. The only downside is that I had a little stress about writing yet another speech in Japanese and delivering it. In the end I received a nice calligraphy kit out of it and soon hope to be taking some calligraphy lessons. The kit also immediately proved to be a big among everyone there…ah drunken calligraphy. Sadly I turned over my camera to another person at the beginning of the party and he missed the photo of the all the paper that people had calligraphied.
